New Designers is an annual exhibition that brings together the best graduate design talent from across the UK.
It provides 2 weeks of incredible design discovery for professionals in the design industry as well as general consumers who are interested in seeing the latest trends in design. New Designers showcases the work of over 3,000 talented graduates across a range of disciplines, including textiles, graphics, product design, and more.
Championing the future of design since 1985 New designers takes up residence in the Business Design Centre Islington London spanning 2 weeks. Week One 28th June-1st July showcases Fashion + Costume, Contemporary Design Crafts, Textiles, Ceramics, Glass, and Jewellery & Precious Metalwork. Week Two from 5th – 8th July exhibits Furniture, Product Design, Industrial + Spatial design, Graphic Design, Illustration + Animation and Motion + Digital Arts. It is a must see for those with a keen interest in keeping abreast of trends and emerging talent.
AUTHOR has long been a champion of British artisanal craft and a staunch supporter of emerging talent; so it is with delight that this year we are an Associate of the ND Show, and proud to be sponsoring a prize within ND Selects, the AUTHOR’s Choice – ND Selects Award.
This Award, taking place over both weeks, will be judged by Jane Adams, AUTHOR’s Creative Director. The prize allows the successful designer to be featured within AUTHOR’s online Meet the Makers and their successful piece will be showcased within a ‘not for profit’ product page, exposing the winner to appreciators of beautiful British made pieces as well as potential sales. Finally the winning piece will be exhibited during 2024 London Art Fair within the VIP Collectors Lounge which is curated from exclusively British made AUTHOR pieces.
