But of course! We have a range of pieces in our collections that can be upholstered with your preferred fabric. The amount of fabric needed for upholstery should be stated on the individual product detail page. Quantities can vary depending on your choice of leather or fabric and contrast piping or self-piping so please contact our office so we can discuss this with you.

Certainly. We would be delighted to work with you to select a finish, fabric or size of any of our pieces to suit your exact requirements and liaise as appropriate with the designer to make the item especially for you. Please contact our office so we can arrange this for you.

We accept payment with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and through PayPal. If you wish to order over the phone then please call us on 01674 820746.

We do hold some smaller items such as candles and throws in stock. It is always good to check that an item is in stock if you require an immediate despatch. For items not in stock, we will check with the maker straight away to see if they have any stock to send out directly to you. When items are out of stock with us and the maker, the lead time can take up to any time between 1 and 8 weeks for the piece to be made especially for you by our talented, independent makers. The lead time is dependent on the size of the piece as well as the maker’s schedule.

As many of the items in our collections are exclusively made to order, lead times are dependant on the time it takes for the piece to be hand made and the creator’s work schedule. Please read our delivery information or contact us with any delivery enquiries.

The only pieces in our collections that are not made in the United Kingdom are our floor rugs. We are currently working with the last remaining Scottish rug manufacturer on a new rug exclusive to AUTHOR.

Our rugs are creatively designed in Scotland and then skilfully hand tufted by a team in India. All of these rugs carry the GoodWeave label. GoodWeave is a global, not-for-profit organisation which operates an international certification programme, working to end illegal child labour in the rug industry and to offer educational opportunities to children in South Asia.
