Original British-designed furniture with contemporary and unique characteristics.
Inspired and encouraged by their father, and his years of joinery and cabinet making experience, The Galvin Brothers have grown their business to include an expansive team of highly skilled and talented artisans.
“Functional objects with a twist,” is how they like to describe their work. They have a new, fresh perspective on form whilst still celebrating traditional joinery techniques and appreciating the ageless properties of English Oak and other variations of hardwoods. Each piece is lovingly designed and made in their workshops and will only be branded with their maker stamp after it has been expertly and carefully inspected and coated with an oil finish.
Classic and staple pieces take on contemporary twists in their designs, such as the quirky (Perfectly) Imperfect Stool with its curvy third leg gorgeously mismatching the other two stool legs. It displays their eccentric and original take on traditional wood turning.
The timber used in their workshops are all sourced from sustainable suppliers and are either certified from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) which emphasises not only the company’s integrity but also it’s authentic passion and love for handcrafting sustainable furniture.
