Dovedale Design Studio strives to source local materials and collaborate with British craftsmen to create contemporary products that meet the expectation of the most discerning collector.
Based in London, Dovedale Design Studio was founded by friends Oliver Tebbutt and Charl Heynike.
Tebbutt and Heynike met during their sculpture and design years at Central St Martins in London. Oliver is a cabinet maker and sculptor, and Charl a luxury product designer and sculptor. Oliver did his apprenticeship in Devon with David Savage, learning high end cabinetry, while Charl went on to a Masters in Luxury Design at Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne and then worked 6 years in the luxury industry in Paris and London for companies such as Louis Vuitton. Both are dedicated to fine craftsmanship and design, bringing complementary skills and experience to their projects.
We love Dovedale Studios' dedication to sourcing local materials and producing in Britain. Their unique, high-quality pieces celebrate classic and timeless designs such as their beautiful watch boxes and humidors. We admire that they focus on small-scale limited edition production of handmade wooden items that make for exquisite and exclusive gifts to the discerning client who appreciates the craftsmanship that goes into creating their gorgeous pieces.
