Mark Lowe is passionate about sustainability and quality, which is reflected in his gorgeous home accessory and lamp designs.
Mark has developed a reputation for high quality, hand crafted lighting and interior accessories that he makes by hand in his workshop located in Nottingham. Mark studied Furniture Design at the renowned Loughborough College of Art and Design. He spent time working as a lighting designer and then teacher of design but always wanted to make his own products. He started sketching his ideas and after some time his first lamp was ready to be produced and had big success. The designs are highly customisable and allowing customers to choose preferred wood, cord and lampshade finish, making it their bespoke lamp or interior accessory.
As the business - Mark Lowe Lighting - continues to grow, Mark still manages to make all the products by hand. The lamps are designed to be batch produced to the customer’s specification but being handcrafted means numbers are kept low to encouraging people to buy responsibly and to make sure their product is unique
Mark's lamps are available in a range of responsibly sourced timbers, offering the choice of colourful fabric cords and acrylic discs on his home accessory pieces such as coat racks and stands. The lamps are designed in a sustainable manner through Mark’s commitment to the environment. The wood used comes from sustainable sources and is renewable because the forest stewards manage the landscape to prevent damage to eco-systems, watersheds, wildlife and the trees themselves. All Mark's products are tested for safety before dispatch and adhere to CE regulations.
