AUTHOR Interiors makes its Decorex debut

This October, AUTHOR Interiors makes its debut at Decorex, marking an exciting new chapter.

Decorex, Europe’s leading interior design event, brings together a select community of designers, makers and brands. Having attended Decorex as a visitor for over 20 years we are delighted to be exhibiting at the show for the first time.

For AUTHOR, this debut is an opportunity to share our approach to interiors in person: being a specialist curator and purveyor of exceptional, handcrafted furniture and interior accessories, created by skilled artisans across the British Isles. As narrators of British craft, we reveal the provenance, processes, and stories behind every piece, celebrating the timeless elegance, honest materials, and heritage-rooted design that define British making.

We champion independent makers who preserve traditional techniques while reinterpreting them for contemporary living. By exclusively supporting British production, we help sustain local economies, protect rare skills, and ensure craftsmanship endures for future generations. Fair recognition for makers is central to our ethos; through transparent, respectful relationships, we ensure each artisan is valued and properly compensated.

A first look at AUTHOR at Decorex

At Stand G33, which is in the main Grand Hall, we will be showcasing a curated selection of furniture, lighting and interior accessories from over 20 of our talented British makers. We aim to make discovering unique, beautifully crafted pieces effortless, removing the barriers often associated with sourcing from small-scale makers. Alongside established craftspeople, we nurture emerging British talent, providing a platform for innovative design that blends heritage with modern technology. From limited editions to one-off bespoke creations, our collections reflect AUTHOR’s distinct aesthetic.

Uniqueness is integral to AUTHOR. With an ever-growing community of makers, we collaborate on exclusive designs that uphold originality and responsible production.
